Sold as a pair, these two special paintings were created to complement Chef Gordon Ramsey's new restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel St.Louis.
When I asked the designer about the colors used in the space I found the answer inspirational ~"We have a deep navy that refers to the Pond that Gordon came across… and the Polished Copper that is reflective of his coveted copper pots.”
I embraced these two elements and created work to echo the flurry of magic and artistry in the kitchen on an oceanic background. The resonating metallic circles with occasional flourishes aim to convey the culinary movements like stirring, turning and braising in the copper pans over the fire.
