Jennifer creates her signature styled paintings by layering many colors using a variety of tools including palette knives, brushes, and unusual found objects. She aims to create artwork that grabs the viewer from across the room with its bright bold colors, but when inspected closer lets the fine details reveal themselves. Intricate lines are carved into wet paint to uncover earlier layers like an excavation. Thick paint pulled across the canvas is juxtaposed with light brush work and unusual mark making. She finds deep satisfaction in creating work with so many layers and intrigue.
Based in St. Louis, Jennifer's work is featured in some beautiful locations around the country. Celebrity Chef Hubert Keller has embraced Jennifer's work, exhibiting her paintings at his restaurants in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. In St. Louis you can see her paintings at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel and at private airport JetLinx.
Painting Live is one of Jennifer's specialties. She's had the unique opportunity to bring the excitement of LIVE ART to gatherings coast to coast by creating paintings on location for events like a wedding on the beach in Miami, at Vegas Uncork’d afterparty and a wine launch in San Diego. In St.Louis she's often invited to paint live for private parties, openings and charity events.
Jennifer welcomes commissions and the opportunity to create site specific work for both private and corporate needs.
"It is a great joy to work with the client and create custom pieces just for them. I love it when I introduce my paintings into a new space and have the BRIGHT BOLD COLOR transform their world! Being an artist has given me the ability to express myself and connect with people in such a positive way. I'm truly thankful and excited about every day, each client and every painting I create. I hope you feel the passion in my work!" Cheers, Jennifer Hayes
